Story
MARGARET EDWARDS-JONES
​
Margaret is a Canadian born equestrian and trainer based in the West Coast and East Coast in the United States.
Coming from a family of equestrians with diverse background in Show Jumping, Eventing and Dressage, Margaret got her first pony at the age of 3, Newton, who taught her a lot about Gravity! Her mother thought her fancy would wane and that would be the end of the horse craze but as time went on, her determination grew stronger.

Certified as an Equine Canada Coach in 1984, she has been teaching since the age of 16 when asked to help fill in for Joseph Thauer who rode with The Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria.
That was the beginning of her Dressage journey with her training being very solid in Classical Dressage with always an outline of Spanish Riding School Philosophy.

She has multiple Dressage Canada Medals of accomplishment in Dressage and also competed up to Open Level in Jumpers.
She often trained with Canadian Olympian and International Grand Prix
competitors David Marcus and Nicolas Fyffe and worked toward bringing her two personal horses to the Grand Prix level and showed internationally.
Her other interests, relating to training, is the BIOMECHANICS of the horse and how each horse can individually develop to the best of their ability. She emphasizes how the rider can benefit the ability of the horse's movement and not hinder it. She personalizes training for equestrians of all levels and experience and always puts the welfare of the horse first.
